040 - Living to the fullest!

"My stint at GCT has essentially been an opportunity to expand my horizons after having spent 18 long years of my life in Tirunelveli. The wallflower in me started disappearing gradually, all thanks to my English professor. As days transformed into months, I joined the orchestra, SJC and SAE thanks to my interests and passions. The best part of all the clubs was the seniors who connected with us like friends. There were no differences between us. Dabbling with these three clubs taught me the skill of management.

GCT brought out the music persona in me. Though I was a regular in our church choir, the GCT stage invoked in me initial feelings of nervousness. As I saw hundreds of faces waiting to listen to my voice, it pushed me to sing soulfully. My performance in Sangamam 2020 will always remain close to me. Being the president of the orchestra, I feel blessed to have gained a wonderful musical family.

One of my unforgettable moments as a member of the Tractor design team Asphaltors, was the victory we secured in the SAE Tractor Design competition in the year 2017-2018. Following that victory,I got into the ATV design team Screwtenizers and ubiquitously, this is the place where I learnt everything apart from my subjects. It made me appreciate teamwork and the support of my fellow members during all ups and downs. I would say SAE let me explore the engineering world in real life and helped me gain skills that would help me in the future. I believe that 'life is to be lived to the fullest'. I often substantiate this statement with my long travels, tasty food, and friends. The simple joys such as exchanging smiles are my largest treasures. I have many friends but Akash Pavan and Lekshmana Perumal have always been my pillars of support and I'm forever thankful for their friendship. If it weren't for them, I would have never evolved into the person that I'm now."
